ABOUT TITANIUM

We would like to give you some interesting information on the properties of Titanium. The titanium used in our jewellery is almost pure titanium (99.2%). As many of you would probably know, titanium is made famous due to its extensive use in the aircraft industry. However, it's usage in other industries has been increasing. As for jewellery making, titanium is fast gaining popularity. The question arises: Why do we use titanium?

# Incredible strength and durabiltiy
Pure Titanium has the strength of steel but is 50% lighter. Aircraft Titanium (grade 5) is 3 times the strength of steel but 45% lighter. It is almost scratch-proof. Scratches can be easily polished.

# Extremely light weight
This property allows designers to create bigger sized jewellery which are not too heavy and very wearable.

# Does not tarnish and the color will not fade
Easy to maintain and won't loose its visual quality.

# Hypo-allergenic
Extremely suitable for people with an allergy for jewellery in other materials, as titanium is also used for surgical purposes.
